The City of Bellingham will host a virtual public hearing regarding Phase 2 of the development at the Village at King Mountain. This includes public infrastructure, impacts to critical areas proposed with mitigation, and a variance application regarding residential street standards.

About the event
The public hearing is regarding the continued phased development of the Village at King Mountain area, which is approximately 100 acres in the King Mountain Neighborhood, Area 13.
Phase 2 of this development includes residential consisting of six multifamily tracts and 90 detached single-family lots. Development of the multifamily tracts is not proposed at this time and will require subsequent administrative land use decisions.
The hearing is an opportunity to comment on the development applications, which include dedication of land and/or construction of public infrastructure including streets, stormwater management facilities and trails. Phased construction of required infrastructure is anticipated. Development applications also include impacts to critical areas proposed with mitigation, and a variance application regarding residential street standards for the proposed residential development.
